- Find words all around you. See if you can find the same word in different places.
- Find the letters in your name around your house, in the grocery store or on signs you see when driving with a grown-up in a car.
- Go on a number, color or shape hunt just like the letter search. Find two or three of the same number.
- Write numbers or letters in dirt, sand or shaving cream spread out in a dish.
- Count numbers in order to 10, then 20 then 30.
- Go on a nature walk and listen for different bird songs.
- Collect rocks in different shapes, sizes and colors.

- Move large rocks and see if you can find a worm or insect that lives underneath.
- Collect something from outside (pebbles, blades of grass, sticks) to count to 10, 20 and 30.
- Find a sugar maple tree. It's leaves have five main points.
- Find an evergreen tree. It has pine needles and can grow pine cones.
- Collect recycled items (paper rolls, cereal boxes, etc. but no glass). Glue them together to make a creature, machine or musical instrument.
- Sing songs with a grown-up or friend.
- Run, jump, hop and play catch with a ball.
- Go to the playground at Porters Point School!
